Continuing their exploration into the dreamier realms, fivesome Club Kuru offer up another taster of what is to come from their forthcoming EP Waiting In The Corner. Fourth EP offering 'Ribbons' follows the signature blissed out sound reminiscent of the psychedelic plains of Connan Mockasin with its whammied guitar parts and wobbly effects. The whole mind-bending effect is soothing though, rather than disorientating as the vocals keep one foot in the real world. The muffled and distorted samples create the opposite though, tipping it back into the dreamlike. Mind-bending and drenched in sunny tones, Club Kuru are shifting us into spring. -SJ
